The needs in the world are great.

Therefore, the Lord has given unique and special gifts to His people to carry out His work.

Gifts, such as, healing, wisdom and faith are blessings that benefit the entire Body of Christ.

The Lord has given you at least one unique gift.

There are different kinds of gifts but they are all from the Holy Spirit, they bring holiness, unity and power.

READ SCRIPTURE

1 CORINTHIANS 12:4-11, NIV

4 There are different kinds of gifts, but the same Spirit.

5 There are different kinds of service, but the same Lord.

6 There are different kinds of working, but the same God works all of them in all men.

7 Now to each one the manifestation of the Spirit is given for the common good.

8 To one there is given through the Spirit the message of wisdom, to another the message of knowledge by means of the same Spirit,

9 to another faith by the same Spirit, to another gifts of healing by that one Spirit,

10 to another miraculous powers, to another prophecy, to another distinguishing between spirits, to another speaking in different kinds of tongues, and to still another the interpretation of tongues.

11 All these are the work of one and the same Spirit, and he gives them to each one, just as he determines.

Have you ever been given a gift that you never opened? Of course not! Gifts are meant to be opened and used.

Take the following 3 steps to begin to understand what your gift or gifts may be:

1. Read 1 Corinthians 12:4-11 again. Do you believe God may have given you one or more of the gifts mentioned? Write in your journal what you think about this.

2. Ask a Christian friend what your gift or gifts may be?

3. Pray for wisdom to understand how the Holy Spirit has gifted you to bring about unity and bless others. Go live out your gift by the leading of the Holy Spirit.

PRAYER

“Father God, would you please show me how the Holy Spirit has gifted me? I know that you gave me at least one gift the moment I put my faith in you (1 Corinthians 12:7,11). Reveal these things as I long to use my gifts for you. In Jesus Name I pray, Amen.”
