IN WRITING
What do professional business people always do when they create a “deal?”
They put the details of the agreement down in writing, so that there is no misunderstanding. Then they sign the agreement. The deal is done, it is clear and defined.
Well, in many ways that is exactly what the Lord has done for us. God presents us with the story of His goodness and love. The Lord has declared His goodness in writing, it is our job to listen, accept, believe and obey His proposals.
READ SCRIPTURE
PSALM 78:1-4, NIV
1 O my people, hear my teaching; listen to the words of my mouth.
2 I will open my mouth in parables, I will utter hidden things, things from of old-
3 what we have heard and known what our fathers have told us.
4 We will not hide them from their children; we will tell the next generation the praiseworthy deeds of the LORD, his power, and the wonders he has done.”
HEBREWS 4:12, NIV12 For the word of God is living and active. Sharper than any double-edged sword, it penetrates even to dividing soul and spirit, joints and marrow; it judges the thoughts and attitudes of the heart.
LIVE IT
One of the things that God wrote as a promise to you is written in John 10:10, ‘I have come that they may have life, and have it to the full.’
Today, take that promise seriously by living it up!
What can you do that would be an expression of that full life? Go serve food to the homeless, take a walk and enjoy nature, make a meal enjoy with good friends, read God’s Word, etc.
Make it a day set apart to worship God with a full life devoted to Him.

“Thank you for your Word, written down for me to know you and your story. Help me to take it seriously, let it change me from the inside out.”
