The Bible is accurate in history, theology and writing. The central themes are clear, precise, accurate and true. The Word leads to eternal life.

Generally speaking, those who hate God hate His word. Those who claim that the Bible has major contradictions and myths are living in darkness and have obviously not studied the scriptures.

2 PETER 1:20-21, NIV20 Above all, you must understand that no prophecy of Scripture came about by the prophet’s own interpretation.

21 For prophecy never had its origin in the will of man, but men spoke from God as they were carried along by the Holy Spirit.”

8 The grass withers and the flowers fall, but the word of our God stands forever.”

It’s important that we, as followers of Jesus, know why we can trust the words that were written about Him. If they weren’t true, we shouldn’t let them guide our lives, but if they are true, they should be the foundation for everything in our lives.

Many have spent years and years trying to disprove the validity of the Bible and many of those become serious followers of Jesus (Josh McDowell, Lee Strobel, C.S. Lewis, Francis Collins).

Study for yourself the historic claims of Christianity and be ready for when people will ask you, ‘Why do you believe?’
