GOD – OUR FATHER

All children long for the protection and blessing of a good loving father.

Tragically, many people are never blessed with this important human need. Still worse is that some of us have feelings of betrayal and hurt from our fathers.

No human can ever perfectly measure up to being a perfect father.

However, our Father in Heaven is the perfect Father, because He is God.

Our Heavenly Father is loving, kind and compassionate. He is full of mercy.

Our Father is burdened and concerned about the well being of His children on earth.

So what did He do?

READ SCRIPTURE

EPHESIANS 1:3-4, NIV

3 Praise be to the God and Father of our Lord Jesus Christ, who has blessed us in the heavenly realms with every spiritual blessing in Christ.

4 For he chose us in him before the creation of the world to be holy and blameless in his sight.

PSALM 103:13, NIV

13 As a father has compassion on his children, so the LORD has compassion on those who fear him;

LIVE IT

Regardless of what your earthly father may have been like, you can trust the pure, gentle, kind and perfect love of God the Father. He cares deeply and has a great compassion toward you.

PRAYER

“Father in Heaven, I confess that sometimes I look at you as being cruel, far away, or somehow different than You actually are. Forgive me Lord. I choose to believe what You have revealed about Yourself in the Bible. Please help me to see You as you truly are: full of love, compassion, and kindness. Father, help me to experience Your love in a fresh way today. In Jesus Name I pray, Amen”
