LIKE AN ATHLETE
Disciple makers are like athletes.
Runners train and push themselves to win a race.
In order to win the race they must stay on the course and run by the rules, there is no cheating.
Disciple makers run with God and live according to God’s Word, they run to win the prize which is eternal life.
READ SCRIPTURE
II TIMOTHY 2:5, NIV
5 Similarly, if anyone competes as an athlete, he does not receive the victor’s crown unless he competes according to the rules.
2 TIMOTHY 4:7, NIV
I have fought the good fight, I have finished the race, I have kept the faith.
