MIND OF CHRIST

Have you ever heard the phrase, make up your mind? The Lord wants us to make up our mind and have what scripture calls “the mind of Christ.”

When we spend time praying, reading God’s Word and living in the Spirit we begin to see things differently. We begin to develop Godly thinking, habits and prayers. Godly thinking is seeing things from God’s perspective. Through Godly thinking we become more sensitive to the Holy Spirit’s leading.

Make prayer a daily priority as you develop “the mind of Christ.”

READ SCRIPTURE

1 PETER 1:13-1413 Therefore, prepare your minds for action; be self-controlled; set your hope fully on the grace to be given you when Jesus Christ is revealed.

14 As obedient children, do not conform to the evil desires you had when you lived in ignorance.

1 CORINTHIANS 2:16, NIV16 “For who has known the mind of the Lord that he may instruct him?” But we have the mind of Christ.”

PHILLIPIANS 2:1-4, NIV1 “If you have any encouragement from being united with Christ, if any comfort from his love, if any fellowship with the Spirit, if any tenderness and compassion,

2 then make my joy complete by being like-minded, having the same love, being one in spirit and purpose.

3 Do nothing out of selfish ambition or vain conceit, but in humility consider others better than yourselves.

4 Each of you should look not only to your own interests, but also to the interests of others.”

“Do not conform any longer to the pattern of this world, but be transformed by the renewing of your mind. Then you will be able to test and approve what God’s will is—his good, pleasing and perfect will.” – Romans 12:2 NIV

By meditating on these words you will be filling your mind with God’s truth and be better equipped to understand and live out the plans that God has for your life!
