Are you struggling to pray? Are you having difficulty in finding God’s peace? You could be trapped in sin.
There are traps along the way that hinder our walk with God.
Sin is like carrying a 100 pound pack of rocks upon your back. We get tired and we fall, the sin pushes us back down and we feel guilty.
To have an effective prayer life you must be quick to “unload” your pack of sin. Confess your sin to Jesus and you will be forgiven.
1 JOHN 1:9, NIV
9 “If we confess our sins, he is faithful and just and will forgive us our sins and purify us from all unrighteousness.”
ACTS 10:43, NIV
43 “All the prophets testify about him that everyone who believes in him receives forgiveness of sins through his name.”
When you confess your sin you are agreeing with God about the brokenness in your life. Silence your mind and heart long enough to allow the Holy Spirit to convict you of specific sins. Breathe out deeply and confess those sins out loud to God. Then breathe in slowly and embrace God’s love and forgiveness over your life.
“Lord Jesus, I confess my many sins before You today. Speak to me now about how I might be dishonoring You in these areas: My thoughts, relationships, words, and my actions.
Jesus, I praise you for forgiving me of each and every sin; even the one’s that I don’t know I have committed. You are full of grace, love and kindness. I receive your complete and total forgiveness in Jesus Christ today. Thank You for being faithful and just in forgiving me! Amen.”
