EXPERIENCE THE JOURNEY

As we physically walk down the path of life we “experience” the journey through our senses. We hear, see, smell, touch and we taste.

As followers of Christ we are also invited to have “spiritual senses.” We “see” and “hear” life through the guidance of the Holy Spirit and God’s Word. We learn to live a life of prayer, yielding to the Spirit and learning to have Godly senses.

We begin to experience God; we listen better. We see God working in us and around us. Our time with Jesus helps us to daily become more Christ like.

READ SCRIPTURE

LUKE 12:11-12, NIV

11 “When you are brought before synagogues, rulers and authorities, do not worry about how you will defend yourselves or what you will say,

12 for the Holy Spirit will teach you at that time what you should say.”

1 JOHN 4:13-16, NIV13 “We know that we live in him and he in us, because he has given us of his Spirit.

14 And we have seen and testify that the Father has sent his Son to be the Savior of the world.

15 If anyone acknowledges that Jesus is the Son of God, God lives in him and he in God.

16 And so we know and rely on the love God has for us.”

PSALM 34:8

8 Taste and see that the LORD is good; blessed is the man who takes refuge in him.

LIVE IT

See if you can detect the Holy Spirit’s promptings today. He may encourage you to pray for someone, speak an encouraging word, or even step out in faith to share the good news of Jesus with another person. However He leads, you can trust that He will show up in your life today.

Are you ready to listen? Practice being obedient the moment you hear His voice and do not delay in acting upon what you hear Him tell you.

PRAYER

“Father, I am thankful that I don’t need to rehearse what I will say or how I will impact others today. Your Holy Spirit will guide me into the right conversations and the right activities as I simply listen for your voice. I choose to do this through the power of your Spirit today. In Jesus Name I pray, Amen.”
