Don’t be overwhelmed. Remember God’s words to you are His words of love, life and direction.

There are several ways to begin:
READ SCRIPTURE
Anytime you want to find verses on a specific topic you can come to Bible Gateway and type in the keyword you have in mind and all of the verses with that word in it will pop up for you to review.
For example, click on the link to Bible Gateway below and put in the keyword: GRACE, you will get several Bible references.
Bible Gateway offers many languages to choose from. Also, if you prefer, Bible Gateway gives you the option to listen to someone reading the chapter out loud.
SPECIFIC BOOKS
We suggest you start with the gospel of John, which is the story of Jesus. Then read the book of Acts, which is the story of Christ’s followers. Then read Romans, which teaches basic theology of the new life in Christ.
After that, if you would like, try starting with Matthew and reading the entire New Testament.

Remember that God gave us His Word to learn and know over a lifetime, so commit to studying it as often as you can. Understand that knowing the whole of God’s story will change the way you see yourself, the world, God and others.
We were not made to study the Bible just by ourselves, its more fun and we learn more with friends, brothers and sisters in Christ. Try to be in places where you are learning God’s Word as often as you can. Bible studies, church services, classes, Sunday school, home groups, lunchtime bible studies, anywhere!
