THE GOSPELS

The word gospel simply means “good news.” The four New Testament books of Matthew, Mark, Luke, and John are known as the gospels. Each gospel is a little bit different, but through them you can learn the entire story of Jesus.

Start with Mark, it is quick and action packed.

Then read John. The disciple John was one of Jesus’ closest friends. He tells the story of Jesus from a relational perspective. It is a story full of powerful and deep truths regarding Jesus and His divine nature.

Luke, is a great story teller. Luke presents the teachings of Jesus through many short stories and parables.

Matthew puts an emphasis on Jesus as the Messiah, the fulfillment of scripture and prophecy.

By coming regularly to these books, God will begin to transform your life in unimaginable ways and bring you face to face with the Savior of all mankind
