THE LAKE
The Word of God is like a cool lake on a hot summer day.
Studying it daily, the Bible’s life changing words continue to inspire, encourage and challenge millions to follow Christ.
Others (like your writer) have dived down deep in these waters over the past 25 years. The waters today are as refreshing as the first read. The waters have unlimited depth and goodness, simply because they are inspired by God Almighty.
READ SCRIPTURE
JOHN 7:37-38, NIV37 On the last and greatest day of the Feast, Jesus stood and said in a loud voice, “If anyone is thirsty, let him come to me and drink.
38 Whoever believes in me, as the Scripture has said, streams of living water will flow from within him.”
LIVE IT
Jesus talks a lot about water and thirst, He says, ‘if you knew…you would have asked…and been given living water’ (John 4) and He says ‘If anyone is thirsty, let him come to me and drink…streams of living water will flow from within him.’ (John 7)
Are you thirsty for streams of living water? Do you need the refreshing coolness of Jesus’ living water?
The only way to quench that thirst is through Jesus, soaking Him up. Go get yourself a big glass of ice water and drink it while you read John chapter 7 today.
PRAYER
“Thank you Jesus for quenching my thirst for life, for living water! Remind me to return to the well of your Word and your Spirit so that ‘Streams of living water’ will flow from within my heart.”
