LOVE
Everyday the world is presenting us with sensual, lustful ideas of romance and love.
The world forgets that love, passion and romance are God’s ideas. God’s love is much greater than the “fake” love of the world.
God’s Word teaches us what perfect love looks like, it is the way that God loves us. It is ultimately the way that God would like us to love others.
This is God’s plan for husbands and wives, children, parents, friends and all other relationships.
Here is what God’s love looks like.

1 CORINTHIANS 13:4-7, NIV
4 Love is patient, love is kind. It does not envy, it does not boast, it is not proud.
5 It is not rude, it is not self-seeking, it is not easily angered, it keeps no record of wrongs.
6 Love does not delight in evil but rejoices with the truth.
7 It always protects, always trusts, always hopes, always perseveres.

List out every quality of love that you see here. How many are there?
What does it mean that “Love is patient?” (See 1 Corinthians 13:4)
What would it look like for you to keep “no record of wrongs” (1 Corinthians 13:5) with those you love?
How can you begin to show this kind of love today?
PRAYER
“Father God, I am amazed at your love! Through the power of your Holy Spirit, I ask that you would help me to love selflessly and sacrificially. Jesus, You showed me what this love looks like when you laid down your life for me. Thank You. I choose to love others with your holy love today. In Jesus name I pray, Amen.”
