Have you ever attended a sporting event and cheered with great victory as your team won the game with seconds to spare?

Well the Lord God Almighty has not just won any game, He has won the universal war between good and evil! The Lord is victorious!

As we praise God, the Lord actually draws near to our prayers and praise.

Shout it out loud! PRAISE GOD!!

PSALM 71:23, NIV

23 My lips will shout for joy when I sing praise to you – I, whom you have redeemed.

PSALM 33:2-4, NIV

2 Praise the LORD with the harp; make music to him on the ten-stringed lyre.

3 Sing to him a new song; play skillfully, and shout for joy.

4 For the word of the LORD is right and true; he is faithful in all he does.

As you praise God remember that you are declaring what is true about Him. God has many characteristics that make Him God! Stop and write down just a few of these. As you do, praise Him for each quality. For example, you might pray:

“Father God, I praise you because you know all things!
There is nothing hidden from your sight.

Father, I also exalt you for your great power and might.

Lord Jesus, I cast myself on your strength today knowing
that your strength is sufficient.

O Great God, I magnify your name because you are immeasurably gracious and full of love.

Thank you, Oh Lord. I praise you today!”
