In the Bible, the book 2nd Timothy offers some guidance about being God’s Disciple maker.
It says that disciple makers for Jesus should be like farmers, soldiers and athletes.
Keep following the path to learn about these principles.
Write down or share with a friend your responses to the following two questions:
1. What do farmers, soldiers, and athletes have in common?
2. What is it about the discipline each of these roles requires that helps encourage you to live for Jesus Christ?
“Father, I pray that you would help me live a disciplined life. I need to be trained by a Christian mentor, the community of faith you have me in, as well as the daily disciplines of prayer and meditating on your Word. I know you will give me this discipline and I seek to do everything I can to be faithful through your power. In Jesus Name I pray, Amen!”
