WHAT IS PRAYER
Prayer is communication with God; both listening and talking. Prayers can be said out loud, or silently throughout the day.
The Lord delights in our prayers, because the Lord delights in us. What a privilege to be able to talk with our maker!

16 So let us come boldly to the throne of our gracious God. There we will receive his mercy, and we will find grace to help us when we need it most.
PSALM 19:14, NIV
14 “May the words of my mouth and the meditation of my heart be pleasing in your sight, O LORD, my Rock and my Redeemer.”
Most people are a bit afraid when talking with a perfect God. This is normal.
The truth is that everyone has false perceptions of God that need correcting. The Lord is good, gentle and kind. He will help you accept His love as you put your trust in Him.
No matter how little you may have prayed in the past, make a decision today to start talking with God more often. Try coming to Him first thing each morning. Embrace His love and simply talk with Him like you would a close friend.
“Gracious God, Your word teaches us to ‘approach the throne of grace with confidence, so that we may receive mercy and find grace to help us in our time of need.’ (Hebrews 4:16) I do come boldly to your throne of grace today Lord. You know where I need the most help today.
I surrender all of my worries and challenges to you as I sit silently in your presence. Help me to know that you are near. In Jesus Name I pray, Amen.”
