PRAYING IN THE SPIRIT
Remember that prayer is talking with God.
The Holy Spirit is willing to tenderly guide you in prayer as you approach the throne of God’s Grace. The Spirit leads and guides us in accordance with God’s will.
The Spirit’s leading is so strong that, “the Spirit Himself intercedes for us with groans that words cannot express.” The language of the Spirit is Holy and takes time to learn. We encourage you to pray Romans 8 and learn how to pray in the power of the Holy Spirit.
JUDE 1:20, NIV
20 “But you, dear friends, build yourselves up in your most holy faith and pray in the Holy Spirit.”
EPHESIANS 6:18, NIV
18 “And pray in the Spirit on all occasions with all kinds of prayers and requests. With this in mind, be alert and always keep on praying for all the saints.”
ROMANS 8:26-27, NIV
26 “In the same way, the Spirit helps us in our weakness. We do not know what we ought to pray for, but the Spirit himself intercedes for us with groans that words cannot express.
27 And he who searches our hearts knows the mind of the Spirit, because the Spirit intercedes for the saints in accordance with God’s will.”
Even in prayer to God there are times where you may feel overwhelmed and helpless. God cares tenderly for your fragile life and wants you to simply release everything to Him through prayer.
Identify an area of your life where you feel overwhelmed. Now receive the truth of Romans 8:26-27 through prayer:
“God Almighty, I feel helpless today. I breathe a deep sigh in your presence. I am thankful that your Spirit intercedes for me even in this very moment. Holy Spirit, you are bringing my needs before the Father in ways that words can not express. Thank you! In Jesus Name I pray, Amen.”
